Successful Search by Federal Police at Entry Control Checkpoints at Cologne/Bonn Airport, carried out by BPOL NRW
A 27-year-old German national found himself in custody following an arrest made by the Federal Police Directorate Saint Augustin at Airport Cologne/Bonn on September 6th at noon. The individual had arrived from Istanbul.
The arrest was carried out during border police immigration control, and it was revealed that the man had previous convictions under the Narcotics Act. As a result, the Public Prosecutor's Office in Saarbrücken had issued a warrant for his arrest.
Subsequently, the man was unable to pay the fine of over 2,000 euros that was imposed upon him, leading to a 60-day custodial sentence. After the completion of police measures, he was taken to Siegburg prison.
