Supermarket chain Morrisons offers an exciting new benefit for customers who spend £10 in any of its 405 stores, tailored for the colder winter months.
In the competitive world of supermarkets, loyalty schemes and customer rewards are becoming increasingly popular. Here's a rundown of some of the current offers and changes in the UK's leading supermarket chains.
Sainsbury's, while not having a personal loyalty scheme, is part of the Nectar card network, which can also be used in Argos, eBay, and various other shops. On the other hand, Iceland does not collect points with the Iceland Bonus Card. Instead, customers load it up with money, and Iceland gives them £1 for every £20 they save.
Tesco's Clubcard scheme, with over 17 million members in the UK alone, allows customers to turn points into vouchers, with 150 points getting you a £1.50 voucher. Earlier this year, Tesco made a significant change to its Clubcard scheme, allowing customers to exchange their points for money off drinks and food at PizzaExpress until the end of April.
Morrisons has also made changes to its loyalty scheme. The Christmas Savers club for 2025 now allows vouchers to be automatically loaded to the Morrisons More Card for in-store use. Shoppers who wish to use their vouchers online can do so by receiving an e-code, but must select this preference before the deadline date of October 30, 2025.
Customers who hold Morrisons More cards and spend £10 or more in the store can participate in the new promotion to receive a free hot drink in participating Morrisons cafés. The offer is limited to one free drink per week per cardholder and includes various hot drinks like cappuccinos, lattes, herbal teas, and hot chocolate.
Lidl customers are rewarded with personalised vouchers that give them money off at the till. The £10 spend is calculated after discounts, and vouchers are issued via the app or printed at the till. However, app users need to activate the deal before heading into the café.
Waitrose does not allow customers to collect points but instead offers free hot drinks and discounts off certain brands in store. Sainsbury's has also introduced a new security feature on its loyalty card app to prevent points from being stolen.
It's an exciting time for supermarket shoppers, with these changes and offers providing more incentives to shop and save. Always remember to check your preferred supermarket's website or app for the latest updates on their loyalty schemes and promotions.
