In a significant move towards a greener future, global AI leader for energy, Univers, based in Singapore, has been chosen by Albert Heijn, a Dutch flagship supermarket, to deploy its microgrid and energy management solutions. This collaboration aims to help Albert Heijn integrate sustainability across its operations, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and navigate complexities in energy management.

The EnOSTM Edge Grid Controller, acting as the local brain, will coordinate energy assets like EV chargers, solar installations, heat pumps, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The EnOSTM AI Microgrid, a cloud-based module, will provide centralised control, enabling Albert Heijn to monitor energy performance, prioritise asset use, and make data-driven decisions in real time.

Univers' advanced microgrid and energy management solutions are designed to handle complex energy management challenges in high-demand, sustainability-focused operations. The rollout of Univers' solutions is already delivering benefits, such as reducing reliance on traditional power grids and significantly cutting greenhouse gas emissions.

With the EnOS TM AI and IoT platform, consisting of on-site and cloud-based solutions, Albert Heijn can expect seamless energy management. Univers, a global technology partner offering a truly comprehensive, end-to-end energy management solution, supports enterprises at every stage of their energy transition journey. The company manages 788GW of renewables and boasts a global network of 1,200+ customers, with 280 million devices connected. For more information, please visit univers.com.
