The Largest Watersports Fair in the World: The boot Düsseldorf 2020
The boot Düsseldorf, the world's largest watersports fair, returned in 2020, attracting visitors from over 100 countries. Spanning an impressive 230,000 square meters across 17 exhibition halls, this annual event is a hub for all things watersports.
A Haven for Luxury Yachts
Hall 6 is the heart of the luxury segment, showcasing some of the most stunning large yachts between 80 and 96 feet. These impressive vessels, transported from far-off destinations like the Caribbean and Turkey, are a sight to behold. Major series manufacturers like Jeanneau, Beneteau, Bavaria, Sealine, and Greenline have found their home in Hall 1, offering motor yachts between 10 and 20 meters.
Exploring the Canals and More
For those interested in houseboat holidays, the "Day of the Canals" on January 20 in Hall 13 offers valuable tips and showcases attractive European waterways. Visitors can even book their holidays directly with providers in Halls 13 and 14.
The boot Düsseldorf's diving fair takes place in Halls 11, 12, and a part of Hall 13. Here, more than 400 exhibitors present a wide range of diving equipment and services. A diving tunnel connects Hall 12 to Hall 13, designed to mimic underwater diving experiences.
Action-packed Activities
Adrenaline seekers will find plenty to enjoy. The boot fair offers a skimboard track and a 65-meter long flatwater pool with a wakeboard facility. Visitors can also practice yoga on stand-up paddleboards, or use simulators for kite and windsurfing.
Sailing Legends and Destinations
Three halls at the boot Düsseldorf are dedicated to sailing, featuring big names like Hanse, Bavaria, Hallberg Rassy, Oyster, CNB, and Nautor's Swan. Renowned sailing legends like Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, Laura Dekker, and Søren Roever will appear in the sailing halls.
The upcoming board sports summit at the home port of the boot Düsseldorf will gather everything prominent in the board scene. Nowhere else in the world will so many boards and their binders be gathered in one place than at this summit.
Exploring the World's Watersports Destinations
The boot showcase offers an extraordinary range of watersport destinations worldwide, including Palau, Papua New Guinea, and Micronesia. THE WAVE made by citywave®, an indoor wave, debuted in Düsseldorf in 2017 and remains popular.
With over 1,900 exhibitors from 71 countries, the 2020 boot show in Düsseldorf, Germany, promises an unforgettable experience for all watersports enthusiasts. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting out, the boot Düsseldorf has something for everyone.
