In a shocking turn of events, a 27-year-old man from Berlin is currently in custody following a series of accidents and an alleged altercation that led to a fatal car crash at the southern border of Berlin and Brandenburg.
The chain of events began on Sunday afternoon when the suspect, driving a vehicle, was involved in two serious accidents. The first accident occurred at the border of Berlin and Brandenburg. According to reports, the suspect got into an argument with a 43-year-old driver involved in the accident.
During the heated exchange, the suspect is said to have punched the older man in the face, strangled him, and even bitten off his finger. The 43-year-old, tragically, did not survive the attack.
Following the altercation, the suspect fled the scene and drove towards Brandenburg. He then collided with a mailbox near Teltow, where he came off the road at the Mauerweg. In the aftermath, the suspect hit a 59-year-old pedestrian, a 66-year-old pedestrian, and a cyclist, who later died at the scene.
The suspect also hit a parked vehicle during his chaotic drive. The Potsdam Public Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for the suspect on Monday, and he was arrested near the scene of the accident in Teltow later that day.
The 27-year-old is now accused of one count of manslaughter and two counts of attempted manslaughter. The search results do not provide specific information about the identity of the wanted person involved in the fatal car accident before being taken into custody.
This incident serves as a grim reminder of the consequences of road rage and violent behaviour. The investigation is ongoing, and more details are expected to be released as the case progresses.
