Suspected burglars were apprehended by Polish law enforcement in the town of Revenahe
Yesterday afternoon, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., unknown perpetrators attempted a burglary at a multi-family house in Buxtehude's Vaßmerstraße. According to the Buxtehude police, an unknown individual rang the bell several times, briefly left the scene, and then returned to break the kitchen window and gain entry to the house.
Inside, several cabinets were ransacked, but it appears that the burglars were unsuccessful in their attempt, as no valuables were reported missing. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, as the perpetrator fled the scene in an unknown direction, presumably by car.
In a separate incident, yesterday morning around 10:30 a.m., a break-in was reported at a farmhouse in the Lindenallee, Revenahe. While the details of this incident are not yet clear, it is known that an accomplice waited in a car outside the building while the perpetrator was inside. The suspects in this case were temporarily arrested, but were later released due to the lack of grounds for detention.
In connection to these incidents, a gray Mercedes, matching the description of the suspects' vehicle, was stopped by police in Harsefeld. During the search of the vehicle and an apartment in Hollenstedt, investigators secured various evidence. Witnesses who can provide information on these cases are asked to contact the Buxtehude police at 04161-647115.
For further inquiries, please contact Police Inspectorate Stade Press Office, Rainer Bohmbach at 04141/102-104 or [email protected]. It is important to note that these burglary attempts occurred separately from the one reported in Lindenallee, Revenahe.
In the meantime, the 32-year-old driver from Hollenstedt and her 41-year-old passenger from Brunswick, who were temporarily arrested in connection to the Buxtehude burglary attempt, have been released due to the lack of grounds for detention. The police emphasise that no suspects have been arrested in connection to the Buxtehude burglary attempt.
The police also clarify that no evidence from the Buxtehude burglary attempt has been secured from a gray Mercedes or an apartment in Hollenstedt. The investigations are ongoing, and the public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities.
