Team head of Red Bull addresses competing queries about Verstappen and Hadjar issue
Racing Bulls Secure First Formula 1 Podium at Dutch Grand Prix
Isaac Hadjar made history at the Dutch Grand Prix, securing his first Formula 1 podium finish for Racing Bulls. The French-Algerian racing driver, who made his debut with the team in 2025, became the youngest Frenchman to achieve a podium position in the prestigious racing series.
Hadjar's impressive performance saw him finish third, with Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing taking the second spot on the podium. Lando Norris, another contender for the race, had to retire late in the race, allowing Hadjar to secure his well-deserved position.
Laurent Mekies, team principal of Racing Bulls, commended Hadjar's efforts, stating that his podium finish was a result of exceptional driving skills, not luck. Mekies has been impressed with Hadjar's performance since the start of the season.
Verstappen's start during the race was considered aggressive by Norris, who anticipated such a move. Norris, a fellow Red Bull Racing driver, knew that Verstappen would try something bold, given the competitive nature of the race.
The Dutch Grand Prix marked the second consecutive race where Racing Bulls finished ahead of Ferrari. In the previous race in Budapest, Racing Bulls also managed to outperform Ferrari. However, Ferrari's performance in FP1 at the Dutch Grand Prix was deemed unacceptable by Charles Leclerc, who expressed dissatisfaction with the team's comeback.
Despite the team's success, Mekies emphasised that hard work, not luck, was the key to their victory. The podium finish for Racing Bulls at the Dutch Grand Prix was a testament to the team's dedication and Hadjar's exceptional talent.
As the Formula 1 season continues, Racing Bulls and Hadjar will undoubtedly be ones to watch. Their determination and skill are sure to bring more exciting moments to the racing world.
