CP Gurnani Honoured with Vineet Nayyar Technology Award 2025
CP Gurnani, a renowned figure in the realm of technology and digital innovation, has been awarded the Vineet Nayyar Technology Award 2025 by The Capital Foundation Society. The prestigious ceremony took place at the India International Centre Auditorium in New Delhi.
Gurnani, co-founder and VC of AIonOS, is a transformative leader with a career spanning over four decades. Known simply as "CP", he is a strong advocate for education and skilling, having founded Plaksha University and served on the boards of IIM Nagpur, upGrad, and Mahindra University.
Justice N. Kotiswar Singh presented the award to Gurnani, while Hon'ble Justice A.K. Patnaik presided over the ceremony. The award recognises Gurnani's distinctive contributions to Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
Under Gurnani's leadership, AIonOS is building AI-driven platforms to solve real-world problems and deliver value across industries. His vision for AIonOS is to make businesses more intelligent, inclusive, and sustainable.
Gurnani's work extends beyond the digital sphere. He co-founded Titliyan NGO and works closely with organisations like the Mohan Foundation and Feeding Hands in Jaipur to empower underprivileged communities.
Speaking on the recognition, Gurnani reaffirmed his belief that technology must serve people and the planet. He believes that the real reward lies in making a difference, one person at a time.
The award also celebrates the legacy of Gurnani's dear friend and mentor, Vineet Nayyar, an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. Gurnani serves on the Board of Directors of the Wadhwani Foundation, supporting global initiatives in entrepreneurship and economic acceleration.
Gurnani is globally recognised as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Leaders in AI. The award reflects The Capital Foundation Society's mission to celebrate leaders who shape public policy, thought, and practice.
In accepting the award, Gurnani emphasised that technology must work for people, not the other way around. His vision for a sustainable, inclusive, and intelligent future continues to inspire and drive the work at AIonOS and the institutions he serves.
