In a thrilling encounter at the Haslegrave Ground, Loughborough, England U19 found themselves on the losing end against Bangladesh U19 in the first youth ODI of the series.

The match started with England winning the toss and electing to field first. Bangladesh openers Zawad Abrar and Rifat Beg made a solid start, putting on 44 runs in seven overs. However, the breakthrough came when Rifat Beg was bowled by Alex Green for 11.

Bangladesh's innings gained momentum with Kalam Siddiki and Rizan Hossain at the crease. The duo put on 148 runs for Bangladesh, with Siddiki scoring 68 and Hossain scoring a magnificent century, 100 runs off 99 balls. Azizul Hakim and Abrar were dismissed in quick succession, leaving Bangladesh at 69-3.

Isaac Mohammed, nephew of England World Cup winner Moeen Ali, opened the batting for England U19. He made his presence felt early, scoring a quickfire 42 against India U19 in his previous match. In this game, he continued his form, hitting a half-century off just 34 balls, with four fours and four sixes. His partnership with Will Bennison was worth 86 runs in 61 balls before Bennison was bowled.

However, England's batting collapsed in the latter stages of the game. They lost their last seven wickets for 63 runs, resulting in an 87-run defeat. Isaac Mohammed was dismissed for 75 off 53 balls, a valiant effort but not enough to secure a win.

Samiun Bashir, who replaced Isaac Mohammed in the England U19 team for the second match, had an impressive outing with the ball. He took 4-9 in 4.2 overs, including the big wickets of Thomas Rew and Jack Nelson.

England will look to bounce back in the second match, scheduled for September 7 at the same venue. The article provides cricket updates, live scores, quizzes, latest cricket news, player updates, team standings, match highlights, video analysis, and live match odds on the website.

Isaac Mohammed first came to prominence in the T20 Blast, where he hit three sixes in an innings of 32 off 15 for Worcestershire. His performances in the U19 team have shown that he is a player to watch out for in the future.
