Aalo Atomics Secures Funding

Aalo Atomics, a U.S.-based startup specialising in small modular nuclear reactors, has secured $100 million in its Series B round. The investment, led by Valor Equity Partners, will be used to accelerate business development efforts and add momentum to the construction of the first nuclear power plant, Aalo-X. Eksim Ventures, one of Turkey's leading corporate venture capital funds, has also joined the investment, marking the corporate VC's entry into the energy sector.

Turkish Telekom's Digital Expansion

Turkish telecommunications giant, Turk Telekom, has made strides in its digital expansion. The company has committed to investing $17 billion in Turkey's digital backbone. As a result, the fiber network has surpassed 506,000 kilometers, and the average internet speeds are expected to increase sevenfold over the course of the agreement. The company has also reached a deal to extend its concession agreement until 2050, with a new deal becoming effective from February 2026.

Under its Pilot program, Turk Telekom aims to foster innovative technologies, particularly in AI, and help startups scale globally.
