Television's latest rendition of Amadeus introduces the new actors portraying Mozart and Salieri
A new TV drama, titled Amadeus, is scheduled for release later this year. This five-part limited series, produced by Sky TV, is inspired by the 1984 film 'Amadeus' and promises to delve into the life and music of the renowned composer, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The series will follow Mozart's arrival in 18th-century Vienna and his encounters with Constanze Weber, a young soprano who later becomes his wife in the series, and Antonio Salieri, a fellow composer who has a significant impact on Mozart's life.
Will Sharpe has been cast in the lead role as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Sharpe, who earned a Primetime Emmy nomination in 2023 for his role in HBO's The White Lotus, is no stranger to the small screen. His portrayal of the complex and brilliant Mozart is highly anticipated.
