Tennis label Palmes joins forces with ATP, the official tennis association
ATP x Palmes Collection Now Available: Tennis Meets Fashion
The ATP, the global governing body of men's professional tennis, has teamed up with Copenhagen's skate-tennis label, Palmes, to release a unique collection that blurs the line between sport and style. The ATP x Palmes collection is now available, with a global rollout starting from August 26.
Nikolaj Hansson, founder of Palmes and a former skater, finds the collaboration to be a dream come true. He has been passionately involved in tennis for the past five years and believes that tennis should be open to anyone and everyone, rather than treating it as an exclusive club.
The collection presents tennis in a subtle, understated way, letting the quality of the items speak for themselves. It consists of polos, tees, shorts, caps, tote bags, all kept clean and wearable. The ATP x Palmes Pique Polo is priced at Β£115, and the ATP x Palmes Tour T-Shirt is priced at Β£90.
The collection is available on Palmes.co and at the brand's Copenhagen flagship. In New York, the collection is housed at Gem Home in Nolita until August 24. From August 26, the collection will be available at select stockists globally.
The collaboration between the ATP and Palmes shows the Tour's intent to claim a visual space in sports fashion. Nikolaj Hansson hints at new projects with the ATP in the future.
Tennis has long blurred the line between sport and style, with examples like ReneΜ Lacoste's polos, Roger Federer's cardigans, and Josh O'Connor's vests in Challengers. Palmes continues this tradition, making tennis feel open and accessible to all.
The ATP x Palmes collection is a strategic shift for the ATP, reflecting their interest in fashion and style. The collection is released just in time for the US Open, making it the perfect addition to any tennis enthusiast's wardrobe.
