Terrorist Suspected of Using Mobile Devices Apprehended in Kamchatka
In a bizarre turn of events, a young man named Denis from Sosnovka in Kamchatka Krai has been charged with "false information about a terrorist act." Over the course of three days, he made four threatening calls to emergency services 112, claiming explosive devices were planted in educational institutions in Nikolaevka village and Elizovo town.
The young man's actions caused a significant stir, leading to the evacuation of students in schools 3 and 9 in Elizovo city to the streets as a precaution. Similarly, two schools in Nikolaevka village had to declare unscheduled holidays due to these threats. School events were cancelled in the run-up to the February 23 holiday.
Each call resulted in the arrival of teams consisting of firefighters, police, FSB, and Rosgvardiya at the respective schools. Fortunately, no explosive devices were found in any of the schools.
The young man found amusement in causing panic and chaos, but his actions had serious consequences. He faces a fine of 500,000 to 700,000 rubles or imprisonment for three to five years.
This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of responsible behaviour and the potential harm that can come from hoax calls. It's crucial that we all take our responsibilities seriously, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of others.
