Tesla Opens New Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Kelowna, BC
Tesla has officially opened its new Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Kelowna, British Columbia. The facility, located at 3425 Circuit Rd in the Airport Business Park, is poised to set a new level of industrial standard for the neighborhood.
The new facility spans over 30,000 square feet and includes a 16-stall Supercharger station at the Orchard Park Shopping Center at 2271 Harvey Ave. This expansion by Tesla in Kelowna is not just limited to the Service Center, as a new Supercharger station will also provide charging facilities for Tesla vehicles.
The planning for the new Service Center in Kelowna was initiated by the Kelowna city council. Construction of the new facility progressed steadily throughout 2024, and in September 2023, a development permit application was submitted to the City of Kelowna for the new Service Center.
The new Service Center in Kelowna will provide comprehensive service options for Tesla owners in the Okanagan, who previously faced challenges in accessing such services. Deliveries of new vehicles are expected to begin at the Tesla Service Center in Kelowna in the next month or two.
The opening of the Tesla Service Center in Kelowna will likely reduce the need for Tesla owners to travel long distances for service and repairs. This is a significant development for the city, as it will potentially generate more employment opportunities.
By this week, Tesla updated their website to show that the Kelowna location is now officially open. The Service Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm. Service is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Tesla initially explored the possibility of acquiring the Kelowna Hyundai dealership at 3260 Hwy 97 N for its facility, but no finalized agreement was reached. Mobile Service was available on a limited basis, and some independent businesses in the area offered limited services for Tesla vehicles. However, many owners had to take lengthy trips to Vancouver for certain services and repairs.
The new Tesla Service Center in Kelowna will be a boon for Tesla owners in the region, contributing to the growth of Tesla's charging infrastructure. The new Supercharger station in Kelowna will provide charging facilities for Tesla vehicles, further enhancing the convenience for Tesla owners in the area.
The new Tesla facility in Kelowna is designed to set a new level of industrial standard for the neighborhood, and it is expected to provide employment-generating opportunities to the city. This expansion by Tesla in Kelowna is an additional step in the company's global expansion, and it underscores Tesla's commitment to providing top-notch service to its customers.
