Tesla Begins Construction on Third Supercharger in Kelowna, British Columbia

Tesla has commenced construction on a new Supercharger station in Kelowna, British Columbia. The new charging facility is located at the Orchard Park Shopping Center at 2271 Harvey Ave, and will double the capacity for electric vehicle charging in the city.

The new Supercharger, which is currently under construction, will feature 16 stalls, making it the largest charging station in Kelowna. Construction on the station has already progressed significantly, with several V4 Supercharger posts already installed.

The existing 8-stall V2 Supercharger station in Kelowna is located behind the Best Western Plus hotel at the intersection of Leckie Rd and Hwy 97. The new Supercharger will be situated on the south side of the mall parking lot, approximately 1.3km from the existing station in West Kelowna.

West Kelowna is home to an 8-stall V3 Supercharger at the Okanagan Lake Shopping Centre, but no new information was provided about the status of a potential Westbank Supercharger. Tesla had previously posted a Supercharger as 'in development' in Westbank in December 2024, but it has since been removed from Tesla's map. The updates to Tesla's map are fluid, and it is possible for the removed Westbank Supercharger to return in the coming months.

No new information was provided about the impact of the potential Westbank Supercharger on the electric vehicle charging capacity in West Kelowna, or the number of stalls or exact location of the potential Westbank Supercharger. The search results do not provide the name of the user who confirmed the construction work of the new Supercharger in Kelowna.

This is the third Supercharger to be built in Kelowna, further demonstrating Tesla's commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure in the city. The Find Us map on Tesla's website was updated yesterday to show the station as under construction.

As Tesla continues to expand its charging network, electric vehicle owners in Kelowna and the surrounding area will have more opportunities to charge their vehicles efficiently and conveniently. Stay tuned for more updates on Tesla's Supercharger development in Kelowna and beyond.
