The European Parliament accepts a resolution outlining its function within the European Union.
The 12th Festival of Politics is set to conclude on a thought-provoking note, as German author Olivia Wenzel takes the stage for a special lecture. Known for her debut novel "1000 Serpentinen der Angst" ("1000 Serpentines of Fear"), Wenzel's insights promise to be both captivating and enlightening.
This lecture is part of a cooperative venture between the Federal Agency for Civic Education, the Institute for Theater Studies at the University of Leipzig, and other institutes of the Faculty of History, Arts, and Regional Sciences at the University of Leipzig. The event aims to explore the theme "Boundaries" in the context of German reunification 35 years ago, delving into the intricate interplay of cultures, arts, and politics in the DDR and the transformation period.
The lecture will take place in Lecture Hall 12 of the University of Leipzig's Lecture Hall Building, located at Universitätsstraße 3, 2nd Floor. Guests from various societal and scientific disciplines have been invited to participate, making for a diverse and engaging discussion.
One of the highlights of this series, the lecture will take place on Tuesday, October 21, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The "Boundaries, Transitions, Transformations" lecture series, which began in the summer semester of 2025, comprises a total of 14 dates.
Remarkably, no registration is required for the lecture. All are welcome to attend and participate in this enlightening discussion.
