The European Springtime Festivities

Get ready for an unforgettable day of entertainment, food, and fun in Landshut, Germany! On a soon-to-be-announced date, the city will play host to a diverse and captivating cultural and gastronomic programme.

The event will feature performances from various countries, including the Italian choir "Monte Pasubio" from Schio, a Scottish Highland dance group from Elgin, a brass band from Ried im Innkreis, the chanson and swing band "Francophonix" from Compiegne, and the Romanian folk dance group "Cindrelul - Junii Sibiului".

Michael Bragulla, Landshut's marketing director, aims to create enthusiasm for the city centre and showcase its diverse leisure, shopping, and dining options. Local music will be provided by the city's symphony orchestra and the Europachor Landshut.

For the little ones, a children's play area with bouncy castles, balloon modeling, creative activities, and surprises will be set up in the new town. The Europa-Union Landshut, in cooperation with the Young European Federalists Bavaria, will have an information stand at the event.

In the old town, international specialties to eat and drink will be available at stands in front of the town hall. Meanwhile, at the city gate, the focus will be on bicycles, with stunt shows, new bike and e-bike models, and information on local cycling tours. An auto and motorcycle show displaying trends and innovations will take place in the new town.

The event will also include a Sunday shopping event in the city centre from 13:00 to 18:00, with over 80 shops open. The large spring fair in the old town and Trinity Square will add to the festive atmosphere.

Mayor Dr. Thomas Haslinger, Klaus Peißinger, Thomas Heilmeier, Michael Bragulla, and representatives of participating associations and organizations presented the program. Partner associations and cities from France, Italy, Austria, Romania, and Scotland will present a culinary and cultural program at the event.
