Elton, a popular figure in German television, is set to embark on a new adventure this winter, as he teams up with Stefan Raab for "The Unbeatables." Meanwhile, a shake-up is happening in the RTL show "Three Against One - The Show of Champions," with Elton stepping down and Jan Köppen taking his place.

Starting from September 27, 2023, viewers can catch the new episodes of "The Unbeatables" on RTL and RTL+. In these episodes, Elton and Raab will visit mysterious locations where history was made, speaking with eyewitnesses and uncovering fascinating stories.

Simultaneously, "Three Against One - The Show of Champions" is undergoing a change. Jan Köppen will join influencer Jens Knossalla (Knossi) and TV chef Tim Mäler to compete against world champions and record holders. The new team will make their debut on September 27 and October 4 at 8:15 PM.

Nitro, the production company behind "The Unbeatables," has decided to continue the format with new episodes and the addition of Eko Fresh, making a total of six new episodes. The documentary series "Wigald & Fritz - The History Hunters," which has been aired by Nitro multiple times since 2020, will be replaced by "Wigald and Eko - The History Hunters 2.0."

Schwarzbild Medienproduktion will serve as the production company for the new episodes. Oliver Schablitzki, Executive Vice President Multichannel at RTL Germany, states that "Wigald and Eko - The History Hunters 2.0" gives their target audience a new twist.

Examples of locations the duo will visit include the healing facilities of Hohenlychen and the forbidden military city of Wünsdorf. "Wigald and Eko - The History Hunters 2.0" is described as the ideal team to surprise both history and comedy fans with exciting perspectives.

The series consists of six half-hour episodes, and Nitro describes its in-house production of "Wigald and Eko - The History Hunters 2.0" as a labor of love. The new episodes will air every Saturday at 7:10 PM on TV, and will also be available on RTL+'s streaming service.
