In a sensational trial, a 36-year-old Israeli defendant stands accused as one of the main defendants in the case against Hamburg entrepreneur Christina Block. The defendant, known for his claims of being an experienced martial artist, found himself embroiled in a complex web of allegations involving a cybersecurity firm, a high-profile hotel, and an alleged child abduction.

The Israeli security firm, allegedly responsible for checking the cybersecurity of the Elysée Hotel belonging to the Block group, is at the heart of the controversy. The defendant, who led an operation in southern Denmark, admitted to the alleged rescue of children from their father. He claimed to have followed the exact course of the kidnapping and divided roles among the participants upon request.

Interestingly, the defendant's statement confirmed the position of his client, adding credibility to his account. His lawyer emphasised that his client had spoken freely without any notes, suggesting a pattern of a credible statement.

The defendant served part of his military service in the Israeli police and later worked as an investigator for an electricity provider. However, he was unaware of any contract or agreement regarding the alleged abduction of the children.

The instruction to hire the security company accused of child abduction to take over the cybersecurity of the Elysée Hotel of the Block Group was given by Block, according to the allegations. Despite this, Christina Block's lawyer declared that she had nothing to do with the "rescue operation".

The OLG ruled that German courts were no longer competent in February 2024, as the children had established their permanent residence in Denmark. Four days after the operation, the children were repatriated to their father in Denmark, as ordered by the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court (OLG).

The defendant could not explain why the children were driven from Denmark to a farm in southern Germany instead of directly to Hamburg. He also did not delete information about the crime scene in Denmark from his phone.

The prosecution accuses the Israeli of having abducted the children from their father's custody in Denmark. However, the defendant felt like a hero doing something good. He did not rule out that another participant might have made threats to the children, but he was not present when any threats were made.

The defendant drew a sketch of the crime scene in front of a cafe at the Danish town of Grasten's harbour on his own initiative. On January 3, the defendant flew back to Israel, marking the end of his involvement in this extraordinary case.
