The period for open bathing concludes on August 31, 2025.

In the heart of Bergisch Gladbach, the Bathing Operations Company (Baeder-Gl) has announced extended opening hours for the Kombi pool Paffrath, aiming to provide uninterrupted swimming services despite the nationwide shortage of qualified personnel.

The 2025 outdoor swimming season came to a close on August 31, but the outdoor area of the Kombi pool Paffrath will remain open for swimming under the open sky. To accommodate more swimmers, the pool will now be open from 6:15 AM to 9:00 PM on Thursdays, and from 6:15 AM to 9:00 PM on Tuesdays for the outdoor area.

This season, both the Kombi pool Paffrath and the Milchborntal outdoor pool welcomed approximately 70,000 guests, a testament to the popularity of these swimming spots. To cater to this high demand, Baeder-Gl has introduced a digital ticketing system, allowing guests to purchase tickets online for a smoother and more convenient experience.

Addressing the personnel shortage, Baeder-Gl is focusing on targeted promotion of young talent, internal training measures, and cooperations to counteract the shortage of qualified personnel. The company emphasises the importance of long-term strengthening of training and recruitment of specialists in the field of bathing operations.

Despite the challenges, the swimming operation was maintained without major restrictions, ensuring a enjoyable and safe swimming experience for all. For more information about Baeder-Gl and its pools, visit www.baeder-gl.de.

The Bathing Operations Company Bergisch Gladbach GmbH employs approximately 50 persons for the 2025 season to operate the Milchborntal and Kombi pool Paffrath swimming pools. The company continues to work diligently to ensure the best possible swimming experience for its guests.

As the weather cools and the days get shorter, take advantage of the extended hours at the Kombi pool Paffrath and enjoy a refreshing swim under the open sky.
