Theaterspiel Witten's 'Philotes' Tackles Gaming Addiction in Arnsberg

Theaterspiel Witten brings 'Philotes – Spiel um Freundschaft' to Arnsberg. The play, written by Beate Albrecht, will be performed on September 23 and 24 at the Sauerland-Theater and St. Ursula-Gymnasium in Neheim. It's part of the company's 26-year tradition of mobile children's and youth theater, reaching around 35,000 people annually.

The play is designed for sixth-grade students and will be performed at two locations in Arnsberg. It explores the theme of computer game addiction and the importance of real friendship. Arnsberg's Family Office is using World Children's Day to raise awareness about children's media consumption and internet dangers, making the play's message particularly timely.

Theaterspiel Witten, based in Witten, produces and performs around 250 shows each year. 'Philotes - Spiel um Freundschaft' is one of over 10 productions they take throughout the German-speaking world.
