Thief caught stealing inside JVA after committing pickpocketing act
In the city of Braunschweig, a shocking incident unfolded on Monday, 25th August, 2018, at 12:15 PM. A 23-year-old man, whose identity remains undisclosed due to the ongoing investigation, was identified as the culprit in a theft that took place at a supermarket located on Wendenring.
The stolen item was a smartphone, which belonged to a pregnant woman. The supermarket management was quick to cooperate with the authorities, providing officers with access to CCTV footage that helped in identifying both the crime and the suspect.
The woman, who is pregnant, reported the theft to the Braunschweig Police, who initiated an investigation immediately. The prosecution later filed a request for the man's detention, leading to his subsequent arrest.
It was discovered that the man has a history of property crimes. Despite the lack of further details about the suspect or the ongoing investigation, the Braunschweig District Court sentenced him to six months in prison without the possibility of parole. He was subsequently transferred to the prison in Wolfenbüttel.
