Thirty-three-year-old individual is under probe due to allegations of sexual assault.

In the city center of Braunschweig, the Police Department has launched an investigation into three potential incidents of rape that may have occurred between September 2021 and April 2023. The investigation is being conducted in conjunction with the Braunschweig Public Prosecutor's Office and involves a 33-year-old suspect.

The suspected incidents are believed to have taken place in the vibrant nightlife scene of Braunschweig, specifically in the Wallstraße/Friedrich-Wilhelm-Straße area, where bars, clubs, and pubs are located.

The potential victims are believed to have met the suspect in this scene. The first potential victim, an 18-25 year old slim woman, stayed overnight at the suspect's residence on September 24-25, 2021. The second witness, a 20-30 year old woman with black hair, stayed overnight at the suspect's residence on November 26-27, 2022, and left around 09:30 am. The third witness, another 18-25 year old slim woman with blonde hair and a distinctive tattoo of a script under her left kneecap, is believed to have been taken home by the suspect on April 9, 2023.

Two of the incidents are believed to have occurred at the suspect's residence in the Gartenstadt district. The third incident may have occurred at the residence of a potential victim, but the exact location remains unclear.

The Braunschweig Police Department is seeking any information about these incidents or the identity of the unknown women. Witnesses are asked to contact the Criminal Duty Office at 0531/476-2516.
