Three detentions following a burglary in Hamburg-Eißendorf.

In Hamburg-Eißendorf, on August 30, 2025, at 8:30 AM, a shocking crime unfolded in Dahlengrund. An 80-year-old senior was brutally assaulted by three men, who were later identified as German nationals.

The initial investigation was carried out by LKA 26, but was later transferred to LKA 184, the Robbery Division of the Harburg region, due to the complex nature of the case. The Department for Capital Offences of the Public Prosecutor's Office is also involved in the investigation.

According to the reports, the suspects held the senior captive, searched his apartment, and threatened him. They demanded cash and valuable items from the victim. The attackers then took the victim to the house's basement and continued their violent actions. The senior managed to call for help, causing the attackers to flee.

Shortly after, the man's caregiver arrived and notified the police and emergency services. Officers quickly secured the scene and apprehended the three suspected robbers, aged 24, 24, and 44. A VW Transporter used by the suspects was also secured as evidence.

Cash and jewelry, found inside the VW Transporter, were taken as evidence. Suspicion of attempted homicide due to severe violence during the crime was raised, leading to the Homicide Commission of LKA 41 taking over the investigation. Arrest warrants for robbery were issued by a judge, and the suspects were remanded to a detention facility after completing police procedures.
