"Three victories from a single horse might seem challenging, but Raaheeb, Baaeed's brother, has begun his Ascot career impressively"

In a thrilling display of equine talent, two exciting young horses, El Vamos and Raaheeb, stole the show at Ascot last week.

El Vamos, a daughter of the first-season sire St Mark's Basilica, made her racecourse debut in the Wesco Anixter EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes. Owned by film producer George Waud, who has been expanding his racing interests, El Vamos was trained by George Boughey, the same trainer who trained her sire. The horse was bought for 420,000gns by Sam Haggas of Hurworth Bloodstock.

El Vamos showed a striking turn of foot in the race, impressing spectators and trainers alike. Her owner, George Waud, expressed his satisfaction with her performance, stating it was his first winner at Ascot.

Meanwhile, Raaheeb, a regally-bred two-year-old horse trained by Owen Burrows, made his racecourse debut in the Charbonnel et Walker British EBF Maiden Stakes. Raaheeb is a sibling of Baaeed, a horse with a career of sustained quality, having won six Group 1 races in a row, and Hukum, a horse that won the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot two years ago.

Raaheeb was the favourite in the race, and he lived up to expectations, winning by a length and a quarter. His trainer, Sheikh Hissa, noted that Raaheeb was more excited at the racecourse than at home. After the race, Raaheeb galloped past the finish line, indicating his enthusiasm for the sport.

Angus Gold, Shadwell's racing manager, mentioned that Raaheeb was ready for a run and had been waiting for good ground. This victory marks another successful addition to George Waud's growing racing portfolio, as he recently mentioned he has bought another St Mark's Basilica filly.

These two races at Ascot showcased the promising talent of young horses El Vamos and Raaheeb, adding excitement to the racing scene. The future looks bright for both horses, and racing enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting their next performances.
