Tightens Security and Cracks Down on Business Misconduct in Jleeb and Khaitan (as per MOI)
In a decisive move to protect public safety and safeguard society, the Criminal Security Sector, under the supervision of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, led a joint security campaign in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh and Khaitan. The operation, which began at approximately 2:00 AM, involved several key authorities, including the Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Public Works, the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, the Environment Public Authority, and the Kuwait Fire Force.
The campaign's focus remained on combating violations, with a total of 26 violators being arrested. In addition, 19 shops were closed for failing to meet licensing requirements, and informal markets were dismantled. Commercial activities not approved by the Ministry of Commerce and Kuwait Municipality were issued violations.
Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef instructed all relevant authorities to intensify oversight of violating establishments and to impose immediate and deterrent measures against offenders. The wider plan aims to ensure that all commercial activities in the region are conducted in a legal and safe manner.
