Title: Beth (First Installment)

In the soft glow of the rising sun, Beth began her day. The tranquillity of her studio apartment was broken only by the chirping of her new budgerigars, Margery and Harvey, who seemed to be enjoying their morning together.

Beth, who had recently gone through a divorce, found herself in a new phase of life. She had been contemplating adding some personality to her living space, and the arrival of her feathered friends seemed like a perfect solution.

Margery, a vibrant green and yellow budgerigar, had come to Beth from her neighbour Maria. Marge, a blue and grey budgerigar, was already a part of Beth's family. Initially, Beth felt a bit awkward about taking in Marge, as she was aware of the circumstances that led to her arrival. Marge's family had been evicted for not paying rent for over three months, and Maria didn't want to see her taken away.

Beth, who was initially hesitant about the commitment pets bring, found herself smiling with glee as she looked at her new clan of budgerigars. She decided that Margery, with her lively spirit, needed company, and so, she welcomed her into her home.

Beth, being a responsible pet owner, wanted to ensure she was providing the best care for her budgerigars. She picked up a book titled 'Budgerigars for Dummies' to help guide her in their care.

As she navigated through the challenges of balancing her new responsibilities with her daily routine, Beth found herself faced with a decision. Should she prioritise her workout or spend more time with her feathered companions? In the end, she chose her budgerigars, opting for a more fulfilled life with her new clan.

Marge, who had previously lived in a two-bed apartment, seemed to be thriving in Beth's smaller space. Despite the differences in their living conditions, both Margery and Marge seemed content, chirping and flitting about their new home.

In a heartwarming turn of events, Beth's studio apartment had transformed into a haven for her budgerigars. With the addition of Margery, the once solitary Marge now had a companion, and the two seemed to be forming a bond. Beth's life, too, had taken on a new rhythm, filled with the melodious chirps of her budgerigars and the comforting sense of companionship they brought.
