Today, the town's festival kicks off.
The 59th anniversary of our city's Stadtfest kicks off today at 2 PM, promising a fun-filled event for all ages. The press release for this year's festival is from Stadtmarketing our city.
The festivities begin on the Market Square with the Erich-Kästner School performing at 3:15 PM, followed by the Brüder-Grimm School choir at 4 PM. At 4:15 PM, the Friedrich-Ebert School choir and students from the Theodor-Heuss School will take the stage, but the available search results do not specify which school will perform. Parts of the ballet performance "Carmina Burana" will be shown on the town hall stage by the ballet school at 4:15 PM on Stage [34225].
As the evening approaches, the HÜTT beer tapping on the Market Square marks the start of the evening program on Thursday. At 19:45 PM, the Mayor and sponsors will join in the beer tapping ceremony.
The Klimperkasten stage will see performances by Su-Min and Madroom at 20:00 PM, while the Market Square will host FOUR WINS, a Fantastic Four cover band, at the same time. If you prefer a more classical performance, head over to the cathedral church at 20:00 PM for Markus Zosel's show on Stage [34225].
The bdks Dance Group Beedees will perform on the Market Square Stage at 3 PM, and Chor mehrKlang Kids of GSV Eintracht will take the stage at 3:30 PM on Stage [34225].
For the youngest visitors, the fun mile and free children's area from Spielmobil Augustine offer a colourful program with large-scale games, a Mini-Land, and creative activities. Face painting is available on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3 PM to 6:30 PM. To add to the excitement, rides are offered for 1 ride for the price of 2 until 7 PM.
Creative activities are offered every festival day, and games like Connect Four, Mill, and the Mega Marble Run are among the large-scale games available. The Ferris wheel, 38-meter high chain carousel Big Ben, Crazy Dancer, Flying Swing, Autoscooter, children's carousel, and many more rides are also part of the festival.
