Top-Notch Choice: Kimball Soups Stand Out

In the vibrant college town of Worcester, Massachusetts, The College of the Holy Cross is gearing up for Halloween amidst the ongoing pandemic. This year, the festivities are taking place remotely, with students being encouraged to share strange and spooky sights for a contest in The Spire.

But it's not all tricks and treats for one student, Annie Griffin '23, who has been recognised as Crusader of the Week. Apart from her academic pursuits, Annie is actively involved in various campus activities, including Admissions Greeter, Pax Christi, Feminist Forum, Hospice Volunteer, and working at the Chaplains Office.

When she's not busy making a difference on campus, Annie can be found enjoying the comforting flavours of Kimball's soups. A self-confessed food enthusiast, Annie shares her favourite singer, Ben Rector, and favourite movie, Lizzie McGuire, with many students. But it's the soups at Kimball that truly steal her heart.

Joseph Rowdis '25, an aspiring food critic, has tried several soups at Kimball and highly recommends them as the healthiest choice among the food options. From Italian wedding soup to tomato bisque, corn chowder, New England clam chowder, chili, French onion, and tomato basil, the variety is impressive. And the best part? The soups remain hot throughout the day, making them a perfect choice even during "deadpoint times" between lunch and dinner.

Located to the left of the grilled area at Kimball, the soups are a staple for many students, including Annie. The author finds soups particularly appealing during the winter season, and with the cold weather setting in, it's no surprise that they're a popular choice.

However, there seems to be a mystery surrounding an article about the best dishes at Kimball College. Despite extensive searches, no information could be found about a person named Joseph Rowdis who wrote the piece. Regardless, the soups at Kimball continue to draw students in, offering a warm and comforting respite from the chill of the season.

So, the next time you're on campus and craving something warm and delicious, be sure to stop by Kimball and try one of their mouth-watering soups. You might just find your new favourite dish!
