Total Prize Money Distribution for Stifel Charity Classic 2025
The Stifel Charity Classic, formerly known as the Ascension Charity Classic, has taken centre stage at Norwood Hills Country Club in St Louis, Missouri, with a total prize purse of $2.1 million. This year's tournament has attracted some of the most renowned over-50 male golfers, including Stewart Cink, Ernie Els, Bernhard Langer, Justin Leonard, Thomas Bjorn, and Retief Goosen.
The PGA Tour Champions' 2025 campaign has reached its final stages, and the competition is fierce. Defending champion Y.E. Yang is gunning for another title, while others are vying for their first. Last year, Yang clinched his first PGA Tour Champions title in a thrilling playoff against Bernhard Langer.
The tournament's prize money distribution is generous, with the winner receiving a substantial $315,000. The second-place finisher will pocket $184,800, while the third-place finisher will take home $151,200. The fourth-place finisher will receive $126,000, and the fifth-place finisher will walk away with $100,800.
Players finishing between 7th and 10th place will receive between $75,600 and $54,600, while those between 11th and 20th place will receive between $27,720 and $50,400. Players making the cut but finishing in the lower positions could still bank over $3,000.
Unfortunately, Padraig Harrington, a former three-time major champion, is not participating in this year's Stifel Charity Classic. Instead, he has chosen to play in the DP World Tour's Irish Open.
This year's tournament has seen a change in title sponsor, with Stifel taking over from Ascension. The current champion of the Stifel Charity Classic 2025 is Thomas BjΓΈrn, who took home the top prize last month.
The sixth-place finisher will receive $84,000, and players finishing between 21st and 40th place will receive between $10,710 and over $46,200. The prize money for finishing in the top-60 at the Stifel Charity Classic ranges from $3,780 for 60th place to $315,000 for the winner.
As the tournament progresses, the competition promises to be intense, with every swing, putt, and chip potentially deciding the fate of thousands of dollars. The Stifel Charity Classic 2025 is a must-watch for golf enthusiasts, offering a unique blend of veteran talent and high-stakes competition.
