On March 18, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the B480 between Doฬˆdesberg and Albrechtsplatz in Bad Berleburg-Girkhausen. The accident involved a tractor-trailer loaded with gravel, which overturned during a left curve.

Initial investigations suggest that the vehicle overturned due to inappropriate speed. As a result, the B480 was temporarily fully closed for the accident investigation and vehicle recovery. The 37-year-old driver of the tractor-trailer was slightly injured in the accident and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

The further investigation of the traffic accident is being conducted by the local police department of Bad Berleburg. The traffic commission in Bad Berleburg will handle the investigation. An estimated property damage of approximately 200,000 euros has been reported, including damage to the vehicle, nearby guardrails, and other property.
