Traffic flow restored on Brockweg and Kattenstrother Weg after implementation of roundabout safety measures

After weeks of rebuilding, the roundabout at Brockweg/Kattenstrother Weg is set to reopen to all road users on Friday, 29th August 2025. The reopening follows the completion of the project, which aimed to significantly improve traffic safety at this location.

Prior to the rebuilding, the roundabout had a high number of accidents. To address these concerns, the city has narrowed the roadway to five meters, installed four barrier-free crossings for pedestrians, and provided safe spots for cyclists to switch from the sidewalk and bike path to the road.
