Traffic incident at Polish-Lithuanian border: 24-year-old driver tests positive for alcohol in Bonn-Gronau checkpoint
In the early hours of August 30, 2025, a 24-year-old driver was stopped by the Bad Godesberg police station in Bonn. The officers found indications of alcohol consumption with the driver.
According to reports, the driver ran a red light on Willy-Brandt-Allee at around 00:30 and entered a roundabout despite the red light. After the report was filed, the driver's license was seized.
The driver took a voluntary breath alcohol test, resulting in a value of approximately 1.8 per thousand. Despite this, the driver faces an investigation for suspected drunk driving, and the investigation is still ongoing.
