According to reports, the accident involved a 69-year-old woman driving a Ford on the Saarbrücken Street from Heusweiler towards Eppelborn. The other party involved was a 64-year-old motorcyclist from Schwalbach.
The collision resulted in severe injuries to the motorcyclist, who was taken to a hospital for treatment. The driver of the car sustained minor injuries. Both vehicles were significantly damaged and had to be towed away.
The Lebach Fire Department had to clean the road due to the accident, and traffic management measures were necessary until the end of the accident investigation at 18:00. The Lebach Police are requesting witnesses to contact them at 06881/5050.
It is currently unclear what caused the accident, but it is known that the woman failed to notice the oncoming motorcyclist at the junction with the Market Street.
