In the heart of Bielefeld, a collision between a pedestrian and an e-bike rider has left two individuals injured. The incident occurred on a bike path at the corner of Körnerstraße, near Jahnplatz, at approximately 1:25 PM.

According to reports, a 63-year-old pedestrian was lightly injured in the collision and was treated on-site by emergency services. Simultaneously, a 50-year-old e-bike rider was severely injured and was transported to a hospital in Bielefeld.

It is understood that the e-bike rider was heading towards Jahnplatz at the time of the collision and attempted to avoid the pedestrian but was unsuccessful. Both parties fell during the collision. Regrettably, the cyclist who was seriously injured fled the scene, and their identity remains undisclosed in the available reports. They are described as approximately 18 years old with a Southern European appearance.

The 63-year-old pedestrian had just left a bank branch on Körnerstraße at the time of the incident. The cyclist involved in the collision was a regular user of the bike path.
