Tragedy Strikes: Bus Transporting Passengers Back from Maha Kumbh Festival Collides with a Truck in Madhya Pradesh, Causing Fatalities for 7 Individuals
On Tuesday morning, a tragic accident occurred near Sihora town, approximately 65 km from Jabalpur. The accident involved a collision between a mini-bus and a truck, claiming the lives of seven people who were returning from the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj to Andhra Pradesh.
According to Jabalpur Collector Deepak Kumar Saxena, the accident occurred around 8:30 am. The mini-bus, carrying several others, was on its way back from the holy event in Prayagraj when it collided with the truck.
Sadly, seven people died on the spot as a result of the accident. Several others were trapped inside the mini-bus, as reported by officials.
The Jabalpur Collector and the Superintendent of Police rushed to the accident site to oversee rescue operations. Authorities are currently investigating the accident, with eyewitnesses reporting that the truck was driving on the wrong side of the highway.
The name of the truck driver involved in the accident is not publicly disclosed at this time. Further details regarding the accident are awaited.
