Tragic mountain incident results in the loss of two lives in the Feld Mountains
In the Hochtaunus region, a tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on the country road L3276 between Schmitten-Oberreifenberg and Sandplacken. The incident involved a Porsche, and two men were trapped in the wreckage.
Authorities were swiftly called to the scene, with around 25 personnel from the fire department in attendance. Despite their efforts, a 30-year-old passenger succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while the driver was transported to a hospital with severe injuries but later passed away.
The Frankfurt am Main Public Prosecutor's Office has requested that the vehicle be seized as part of the ongoing investigation. The Technical Relief Agency was also on the scene, illuminating the accident site for a large-scale investigation.
