Trains enveloped by major lines
The Bundespolizei in Baden-Württemberg is currently investigating an incident that occurred on the morning of July 23, 2025, on the train track between Bobingen and Schwäbisch Gmünd.
At around 10:20 AM, a regional express train from Bobingen to Schwäbisch Gmünd encountered a tree trunk on the tracks. Despite the emergency brake, the train struck the obstruction, causing slight damage but fortunately, no passengers were injured.
The operation to clear the tracks lasted from 10:24 AM to 12:38 PM, resulting in the closure of the train track to train traffic during this period.
