In the heart of Duisburg, on August 27 at 3:30 PM, a significant incident occurred. A 54-year-old woman driving a Land Rover veered off Ruhrorter Straße and collided with the tram stop "Albertstraße."

The impact was severe, with the SUV crashing through a glass shelter and colliding with the ticket machine, causing it to fall onto the tram tracks. Fortunately, the tram was not in service at the time.

Upon arrival at the scene, paramedics treated both the 43-year-old and 52-year-old passengers, who sustained minor injuries from flying glass. The 54-year-old woman, the driver, appeared to be unharmed. However, officers found indications of medication use and a possible medical emergency. A blood sample was taken at the hospital for further analysis.

A breath alcohol test was negative for the 54-year-old woman. The police impounded the Land Rover and seized the woman's driver's license.
