Transformation for Isarphilharmonic Attendees: What's In Store for Them Now
Munich Philharmonic Introduces Taxi Shuttle Service for Concert-Goers
The Munich Philharmonic is set to make attending concerts more convenient for visitors with the introduction of a new taxi shuttle service. The service, which will debut on September 9th and 10th at the first concerts of the season, aims to improve flexibility and reduce waiting times.
The shuttle service will operate on all event days from the 200 parking spaces on the Flower Wholesale Market grounds. Visitors will be dropped off for free right in front of House K in Hans-Preißinger-Straße, a short walk from Hall E, the foyer of the Isarphilharmonie. The shuttles are identifiable by green flags.
However, it's important to note that the shuttles are not suitable for wheelchair users. For those with mobility issues, there are 14 designated disabled parking spaces available on the HP8 grounds.
Parking options for concert-goers are plentiful. Parking at the Salzburg Festival's Mönchsberg garage costs 6.60 euros for 8 hours, while parking at Gasteig costs 10 euros for 4 hours, with each additional hour costing 3.50 euros.
The new large-capacity taxis replacing Line 97 between Gasteig HP8 and the Flower Wholesale Market will offer easier access. Stephanie Jenke, manager of Gasteig HP8, explained that the taxis will improve flexibility in response to demand and reduce waiting times.
The premiere of the shuttle service will feature Lahav Shani conducting Schubert's "Unfinished" and Wagner's "Tristan" prelude and love death, with Sol Gabetta playing Elgar's Cello Concerto.
It's worth mentioning that only a few tickets remain for the two concerts. With the new shuttle service in place, it's expected to make attending the concerts even more enticing for visitors.
Unfortunately, there is no publicly available information on the exact start date for the taxi shuttle service between Gasteig HP8 and the Flower Wholesale Market in Munich.
In summary, the Munich Philharmonic's new taxi shuttle service aims to make attending concerts more convenient for visitors. With the combination of the parking garage at the Flower Wholesale Market and the new shuttle service, it's never been easier to enjoy a night of music in Munich.
