Tree collision by Polish driver during evasive maneuvers
In Hagen on Monday, November 18, a collision occurred on Knippschildstraße involving a Jeep and a tree. The incident, which took place around 6:15 PM, left the Jeep needing to be towed away from the accident scene.
According to the Hagen Police, the 52-year-old driver of the Jeep lost control of the vehicle after seeing two large dogs - believed to be a German Shepherd and a Labrador - run onto the road. In an attempt to avoid the dogs, the driver veered into oncoming traffic and crashed into a tree.
The driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Despite the driver's claim that he saw pedestrians on the right side of the road, none were found at the scene.
Witnesses are asked to call the Hagen police at 02331 - 986 2066. The traffic division will continue to investigate the accident.
