Trump allegedly suggested stripping the comedian of their U.S. citizenship in a particularly humiliating manner.

The White House has come under fire for re-sharing a controversial post about comedian Rosie O'Donnell on its official Twitter account. The post, made by former US President Donald Trump on his Truth Social platform, included an unflattering image of O'Donnell's face and labelled her as "not a 'Great American'."

The move has been widely criticised, with many questioning the priorities of the administration and expressing dismay at the unprofessional behaviour. One critic stated, "I will never understand how people aren't embarrassed by this administration."

Another user expressed their concern about the seriousness of the White House, stating, "The Official Twitter Account of the White House. When the inmates run the asylum. Absolutely embarrassing."

Mehdi Hassan, a writer, expressed his concern about the White House account sharing the post, stating that America may never recover from the Trump years.

It is important to note that this is not the first time Trump has targeted O'Donnell, who is an outspoken critic of the former President and currently lives in Ireland. However, there is no evidence or credible report indicating that the White House official Twitter account shared or promoted an earlier insult against O'Donnell on Truth Social.

The threat to revoke O'Donnell's American citizenship, which Trump first made in July, was also included in the post. The move is consistent with the "unserious" way the Trump administration has handled sensitive issues in the past.

One critic of the post on Truth Social stated, "I'm all for the memes but this is not appropriate behaviour for the official page of the most powerful nation on Earth. This is embarrassing."

The controversy surrounding the post and its sentiment continues to grow, with many calling for the White House to take a more professional approach to its social media presence.
