Trump debunks false claims spreading on social media regarding his demise

In a surprise appearance on Saturday morning, former President Donald Trump put an end to days of speculation about his whereabouts. Accompanied by his granddaughter, Kai Trump, Trump was spotted outside the White House around 9 a.m., dressed in a white polo shirt, black slacks, and his trademark "Make America Great Again" cap.

The former president's absence had led to a wave of rumours on social media, with the hashtag #TrumpIsDead trending on various platforms. The speculation intensified after the White House released an empty public schedule for Labour Day weekend, and the absence of any on-camera events from Trump for several days. However, it was soon confirmed that the rumours of Trump's death were unfounded.

Trump remained active on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Friday, writing that all tariffs are still in place. The former president warned that losing the tariffs would cripple the financial strength of the United States. The federal appeals court had rejected aspects of Trump's tariff policy, a decision that Trump strongly reacted to. He emphasised the importance of staying strong in relation to trade measures and vowed that his trade measures would ultimately stand in response to the court decision.

The federal appeals court decision is a setback for Trump's tariff policy, marking a point of contention. The court's rejection of certain aspects of the policy indicates that the legality of Trump's trade measures is being questioned.

Trump was seen getting into a vehicle bound for his golf club in Sterling, Virginia. His last on-camera event was a cabinet meeting earlier in the week. The discussion about Trump's absence became prominent, but with his reemergence, the focus has now shifted back to his policies and actions.

The trending hashtags #TrumpIsDead and #WhereIsTrump, which emerged due to the speculation about Trump's whereabouts, have since lost their prominence. The US president seen over the weekend and traveling to his golf club in Sterling, Virginia, is Donald Trump.
