Trump issues final warning to Hamas regarding captive Israelis

The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has taken a significant turn as US President Donald Trump has issued a "final warning" to the Islamist group Hamas regarding the release of hostages.

Currently, there are 48 hostages being held in the Gaza Strip, with 20 believed to be alive. The conflict was sparked by a deadly attack carried out by Hamas terrorists and other extremist Palestinian organizations near the border with the Gaza Strip on October 7.

The ongoing conflict is being mediated by the US, Qatar, and Egypt, with indirect negotiations taking place between Israel and Hamas. The US President's conditions for the release of the hostages have been accepted by the Israelis, although the details have not been disclosed.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump demanded that Hamas immediately release all Israeli hostages and the bodies of those abducted. He proposed a plan envisioning the handover of all 48 hostages—both living and dead—on the first day of a ceasefire, in exchange for Israel stopping its offensive in Gaza.

Trump's warning was clear: failure to comply would have severe consequences. He called it his "last warning". More than 1,200 people were killed on the Israeli side in the attack, and more than 250 were taken as hostages into the Gaza Strip.

Earlier this week, Trump wrote on Truth Social that Hamas should immediately release hostages. He has previously called for Hamas to do the same and comply with his conditions for the release of the hostages.

The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip is the deadliest attack in Israeli history. All parties involved, including Hamas, Israel, the US, Qatar, and Egypt, have expressed a desire for an end to the conflict and the release of the hostages.

Trump's final warning to Hamas was issued in the hope that it would bring about a peaceful resolution to the hostage crisis and bring an end to the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip.
