Trump's death rumors disproved as president spotted departing for golf outing
In the Oval Office, President Donald Trump was recently seen with bruising on the back of his right hand, sparking questions about his health. This is not the first time such an incident has occurred; similar instances were reported in February and November.
The condition of Trump's health has been a source of concern in recent months, with his swollen ankles, photographed at the FIFA Club World Cup Final in July, linked to his chronic venous insufficiency. This condition, according to the National Institutes of Health, can result in a diminished quality of life and loss of work productivity if left untreated.
Sean Barbabella, Trump's physician, has explained that the bruising is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin. He also disclosed that Trump has been diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency.
The White House, however, has dismissed health concerns about Trump's bruising, attributing it to shaking hands with thousands of people.
Rumours that Trump was dead spread on social media after U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance mentioned in an interview being ready to take over if a "terrible tragedy" happened. This sparked speculation about Trump's health amidst his less frequent public appearances, leading to viral hashtags like #TrumpDied and increased search queries such as "Is Trump dead". However, there is no factual evidence supporting these claims.
Trump, at 79 years old, was sworn in as the oldest president in January, raising questions about his ability to handle the rigours of the office. Despite this, he continues to carry out his duties as President of the United States.
