Tubô Cebu Art Fair 2025 Celebrates Provenance and Community Support
Tubô Cebu Art Fair 2025, themed 'Provenance', successfully concluded its eighth edition at Ayala Center Cebu. The fair, organized by Valentine Zoss, paid tribute to its community support and showcased a special collection by Martino Abellana, the Dean of Cebuano Painters.
The opening day saw the launch of Josua Cabrera's book, 'Si Jimsky ug ang Tanghaga sa Balay sa Balay sa Agta'. Throughout the fair, media partners helped reach wider audiences. On August 30, the street art collective Writer's Block, led by Nark, Noer, and Kane, created a live mural at Atua Midtown.
The fair closed with Tubô Talks, featuring a panel on Cebu's contemporary art provenance and sessions with rising Cebuano artists. The 'Image of the Fair' introduced artists Jonathan Abellana, Khriss Bajade, Gabi Nazareno, and John Villoria.
Tubô Cebu Art Fair 2025, held from August 29 to 31, drew to a close successfully. Fair Director Allen Arvin Tan acknowledged the community's support, while the fair's theme, 'Provenance', highlighted the importance of Cebuano art's origins and heritage.
