TVU Networks' APIs are now accessible to MediaMesh, marking a first-time integration.

TVU Networks, a leading provider of live video solutions, has announced the launch of a new product called MediaMesh. The platform, designed to facilitate cloud migration for broadcasters, partners, and developers, is set to help users maximise their existing resources and simplify connectivity.

The MediaMesh Advisory Board, consisting of leaders from various sectors in the media and entertainment environment, has been formed by TVU to guide the platform's evolution. Notable members include Sony, Intel, Comcast, Chyron, EVS, Grass Valley, Vizrt, and Solid State Logic.

Paul Shen, CEO of TVU Networks, stated that the future of live production depends on collaboration, not closed ecosystems. He emphasised that by opening its platform through MediaMesh, TVU Networks aims to give broadcasters, developers, and partners the freedom to innovate faster, together.

One of the key challenges in live production is the complex connectivity issues that have prevented more than 1% of live productions from fully migrating to the cloud. To address these issues, MediaMesh introduces global shared memory for live video. This innovation aims to provide a seamless and efficient solution for broadcasters, enabling smoother integration and simplifying connectivity.

Dieter Backx, VP control and orchestration at EVS, has announced the integration of TVU MediaMesh for seamless cloud routing for broadcasters. Adam Marshall, CPO at Grass Valley, has also commented on integrating Grass Valley AMPP with TVU MediaMesh.

The MediaMesh Advisory Board's primary task is to guide the platform's evolution. Its members will work closely with TVU Networks to ensure that the platform meets the needs of the media and entertainment industry and continues to push the boundaries of live production.

With the launch of MediaMesh, TVU Networks is positioning itself at the forefront of the live production industry, offering a solution that addresses the challenges of cloud migration and fosters collaboration and innovation. The platform is set to transform the way live productions are handled, making them more efficient, cost-effective, and flexible.
