Breaking News: Robbery in Wilhelmstadt Last Night
A robbery occurred in Wilhelmstadt last night, leaving a 37-year-old man with injuries to his arm and upper body. The incident took place along Wilhelmstraße towards Spandau Town Hall around 9 PM, according to witness statements.
The robbery involved two victims, a woman and a man, who were known to be acquaintances but not in a romantic relationship. The suspect, described as a man approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a dark hoodie and jeans, ran past the victims and snatched two suitcases from the woman.
The man was stabbed during the robbery, while the woman was injured as she tried to hold onto the bags. The man was taken to a hospital for treatment, while the woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
The police have launched an investigation into the robbery and have released a sketch of the suspect based on witness descriptions. The suspect allegedly stabbed the man during the robbery before fleeing the scene towards Spandau Town Hall, still carrying the stolen suitcases.
The police have also asked for the public's help in identifying the suspect and locating the stolen suitcases, which contained personal belongings and money. The police have cordoned off the robbery scene for further investigation.
An officer from Sector 23 provided first aid to the injured man before he was taken to the hospital. The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and contact the authorities.
In a separate incident, two young men aged 17 and 18 were apprehended nearby after they stole a handbag from a 77-year-old woman in Wilhelmstadt. The police are not currently linking this incident to the robbery on Wilhelmstraße.
