Veteran Poker Player Valera 'vk_pokerstar' Makes a Comeback
Valera, known online as 'vk_pokerstar', has made a remarkable comeback to the live poker scene after a brief hiatus. His recent performances at various tournaments have showcased his refined skills and competitive edge.
In 2014, Valera qualified for the Kazakhstan Poker Championship (KPC) through a satellite at the World Poker Tour National (WPTN) series in Mumbai. Despite a coin flip loss against Igor Merkulov on day 2, Valera demonstrated his resilience by continuing to compete.
Valera's poker journey began at the Bombay Poker Club in 2014, where he started playing cash games. His perseverance paid off, as he went on to win the WPTN Almaty Cup just three days after the series in Mumbai, without a deal.

Recently, Valera published a blog post, expressing hope that the next one won't take two years. With his recent wins, Valera aims to compete for the top 3 in the Player of the Year title in Kazakhstan according to the Global Poker Index (GPI), reflecting his ambition and determination.
