In an exciting development for the mixed martial arts (MMA) community in the Asia-Pacific region, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has partnered with Galaxy Entertainment Group to host three UFC Fight Night events over the next four years at the Galaxy Arena in Macau.

This partnership reflects a shared vision between UFC and Galaxy Entertainment Group, supporting the Macau government's initiative to integrate tourism and sports. Kevin Kelley, COO of Galaxy Entertainment Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating that it will bring world-class MMA events to Macau.

UFC's Head of Asia, Kevin Chang, also expressed excitement about the long-term partnership with Galaxy Macau, which he believes will help UFC expand its presence in Asia further. This move is part of UFC's rapid growth in the region, following four previous events in Macau since 2012.

Dana White, UFC's president and CEO, returned from a trip to China with positive impressions, praising the culture, people, and athletes. He believes the partnership comes at an opportune time, providing MMA fans in Macau with the opportunity to witness top-tier action at home.

The partnership aims to discover new MMA fighters from the Asia-Pacific region. In the latest season of Road to UFC, 18 athletes from the region earned UFC contracts, including contenders like Việt Nam's Nghiêm Văn Ý and New Zealand's Lawrence Lui, who competed in the bantamweight category semifinals.

The first event of the next season of Road to UFC will provide a pathway for fighters in the region to earn a UFC contract. The most recent event in Macau, UFC Fight Night: Yan vs Figueireido, sold out in 2023, demonstrating the growing interest in MMA in the region.

Visitors to Macau can enjoy the city's rich culture, cuisine, and entertainment alongside unforgettable fight experiences. The partnership is seen as solidifying UFC's commitment to the Asia-Pacific region and its fans. The most recent event in mainland China, UFC Fight Night: Walker vs Zhang, was a sellout last month, further indicating the popularity of UFC in the region.

In addition to the UFC Fight Night events, a new season of Road to UFC will also be held at the Galaxy Arena, offering more opportunities for aspiring MMA fighters in the Asia-Pacific region to showcase their skills and potentially earn a UFC contract.
